Review: Savory Saltine seasoning

Our famous saltine seasoning came about as a labor of love from our employees. By taking a family recipe and adding new ingredients, they created the ultimate flavor for a party cracker. They are super "savory" and have just enough kick to make them zing. That's how the name came about.

 Christina's voice:
The orginal savory saltine seasoning was really easy to use with no mess or bake. You can smell the seasnoing through the packaging, which was a good thing because the smell alone made my mouth water. I couldn't wait to get started so i read the directions and used regular crackers to get started. My daughter and I loved them. We had them with some tomato soup, was very delicious lunch.

To make 4 Tubes of Crackers:
1 pkg. Original Savory Saltine Seasoning (Available at Adrians)
1 3/4 cups Canola Oil
4 tubes Premium Brand Saltine Crackers (these really are the best!)

Add contents of seasoning package to 1 3/4 c. canola oil in a 2 gallon zip lock bag and mix well.  Add four tubes of Premium Saltine crackers. Seal bag with lots of air in it.  Toss crackers in bag every 5 minutes or so until seasoning is absorbed.  Let crackers rest at least 4 hours (better overnight) for best taste, but you can sneak a few early! :-)  Refrigeration or freezing extends flavor.
To make 1 tube of crackers:
Add 5 tsp. of seasoning mix to a scant 1/2 cup of canola oil in a 1 gallon zip lock bag.  Add one tube of crackers and follow above instructions.

Review: perdue chicken (oven ready)

That’s why the PERDUE brand is the number-one brand of premium fresh chicken in the United States. In fact, we’re recognized as the first company to successfully brand chicken.

Christina's Voice:
I want to start off by saying that i can cook up just about anything, but i really hate cooking so if there is a way to stay away from fast foods, but still have dinner done in no time, that is where i am at. The Perdue oven ready chicken comes seasoned and read to pop in the oven. It comes in a convenient cookin -in- bag, there is no prep, no mess and very easy to clean up. Cooks for 90 mins. and when it's done it is so juicy and tender just falls off the bone. The results are delicious. Thanks to bzzagent and being a member im able to try this product for free.

Review: black and green olives

From the olive groves of Italy to the warm inland valleys of California, our founder, Nicolo Musco, brought an entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to quality to the business of olives. Our heritage is rich and our vision remains just as strong as the day Nicolo determined to make it in America.

 christina's voice:
I got to try out the Spanish Green olives i could eat them by the handfuls. They are hand harvested olives and they are really yummy. You can cook with these olives or eat them plain.
Black Ripe
Musco uses a unique California curing process that removes the bitterness and gives our olives their smooth, savory flavor, provides the right amount of texture, and produces a rich, dark-brown color. Using sea salt rather than iodized salt, this curing process requires more time, effort, and expense, but the results distinguish our Black Ripe Olives from all the others.

Giveaway Country bob

If you have been on Facebook you have probably seen all the talk about "Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce."   I know I was curious so when they offered bloggers a chance to review it, I jumped at the chance.   I also liked how it says right on the label, "Christ is our CEO!"
My first opportunity to try it was a burger.   My husband tried to put the sauce on while grilling.  He was adding it to frozen burgers.   It did absorb in as the burgers thawed and it gave it a sweet A1 Sauce sauce type of flavor.
The second was on Kielbasa    I tried it as a dipping sauce.   I must say it was pretty good.   Tastes like a mix of Heinz 57 with a smokey favor.  The sauce is thinner than ketchup.

Wanna try some for yourself?

Thesavingswife.com was offered two bottles to giveaway.
Enter the giveaway below for 2 bottles of Country Bobs All Purpose Sauce.  Don't wanna wait?  You can go to your local Walmart to purchase it or Country Bobs Website.

Review/Giveaway: Char Crust all american barbecue and Java Buzz

Christina's voice:
The all american barbecue from Char Crust is amazing on ribs and chicken This product is really yummy. My husband favorit was the Java Buzz which is really sweet and roasty like which he liked it on our pork chops just sprinkled a little here and there and let it cooked.

How Char Crust® (the seasoning) became Char Crust® (the company)
My dad's legendary Chicago steakhouse, Al Farber's, is where it all started in 1957. Thick prime steaks with sizzling charred crusts, bursting with juicy flavor, were the signature of our restaurant. When diners would literally beg to take our seasonings home, we knew we had a winner! That time and those flavors are captured in our two original dry rubs: Original Hickory Grilled (originally called just Char Crust®) and Roto Roast.

After Dad retired and closed the restaurant in 1977, we continued to make Char Crust® and Roto Roast dry rub seasonings, selling them to many restaurants in Chicago. As chefs took jobs in other cities, they took our dry rubs with them, and next thing you know, they were being used in restaurants all over the country.

Dont miss out on the amazing giveaway:
kit of 3 packages (Original Hickory Grilled, Roasted Garlic Peppercorn, Ginger Teriyaki) as long as you live 48 contiguous United States, then you have a chance to win =) GOODLUCK!!<>
