Review/giveaway: Make your own gummies

history of Glee Gum
In 1992, the concept for Verve was born when we visited an economically depressed chicle-producing community in Northern Guatemala. Up until then, we had never really thought about how chewing gum was made. When we realized its origins, we learned that prior to the synthetic resins, chicle was the basis of the entire industry. Our goal was to support chicle-harvesting by purchasing chicle. With this goal in mind, Verve was born, and with it our first and most popular product, the Make Your Own Chewing Gum Kit. Read more about the history of glee gum.

Available in Make Your Own Chocolate, Make Your Own Chewing Gum, and Make Your Own Gummies, these activity kits are all-natural, educational, and eco-friendly. With pre-packaged ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, everyone aged 8 and up gets a real kick out of making candy from scratch. Focusing on the history behind and the origin of these candies, each kit is designed to captivate your interest, connect you to the global community, and create something yummy to eat in the process!

Christina's voice:
I ended up doing this project alone while my daughter just wants to eat them but that's okay because it is for ages 8 and up and she's only 3. It didn't take that long to make but i never knew that all natural gummies were made this way. The kit includes everything that you need to make gummies.

First you soak the sea weed.
Then while that is soaking you choose your shapes on what you want your gummies to turn out.

this is where you make the imprints of what you want your gummies to turn out to be. ( picture above)

then you would mix water with your powdered seaweed and stir and add you dried seaweed to that put it on the stove or microwave for a few, then take out remove the dried seaweed and add you colored sugar packet ( as above)  and heat again about 1 min. After that you pour this over your mold imprints and let it cool in the fridge for 10mins and then they are ready for the sour stuff to either be poured on or sprinkled on top. =) its that easy.
