Sports Illustrated Kids

Sports Illustrated Kids wanted to share with you a few things that are being planted under their holiday tree.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Kids is THE magazine for boys and girls who love sports. The magazine presents sports the way kids want to read about them: with great action photos, easy-to-read stories about star athletes, helpful instructional tips from the pros, and humor, comics, and activities. SI Kids is a great way to encourage kids to read, and it has won highest honors from theAssociation of Educational Publishers and the Parents' Choice Award.

Not only has SI Kids won awards, they also give them out! This month, they crowned their first ever “SportsParent of the Year.”  With the help of parenting bloggers, the magazine received numerous nominations to honor dedicated sports parents from around the U.S.

Modeled after the famed Sportsman and SportsKid of the Year awards, the “SportsParent of the Year” 2012 title was given to Kristie Finnan, a mother of 3.  Finnan, a Pennsylvania native, coaches her daughter’s soccer team and regularly cheers on her children during soccer, basketball, gymnastics and Tae Kwon Do competitions.

Review: AquaSport broad spectrum SPF 30

 Christina's voice:

AquaSport from all Terrain is a sunscreen for active lifestyles. This product is water resistant, and non greasy. The broad spectrum is SPF 30 lotion which last up to about 80minutes and you need to reapply. This is not a chemical based sunscreen which is really nice for kids or adults who are allergic to sunscreens. This worked really good the day it was about 120 degrees in nashville and i went to beech bend, which is an amusement park/ water-park.

AquaSport SPF 30 was just rated the top sunscreen in the June 2012 Consumer Report Sunscreen report. The company’s other sunscreens scored high in the June Sunscreen report issued by the Environmental Working Group, which looks for products that are not harmful to children or the environment.

AquaSport SPF 30 is oxybenzone-free and has full-spectrum protection from UVA (skin cancer) and UVB (sunburn) rays. With non-nano and un-coated zinc oxide, it is natural, non-whitening, non-greasy and fragrance free Lotion or Spray that will not cause eye stinging. It is water and sweat resistant and is proven to be effective after 80 minutes in water.
